There's not the space to tell it all, but here
is a sample of what we've done over the years. We've done
all sorts of things, from fund raising activities for the
church or other charities, to some good times together as
a church family and a community. Keep a watch out in the village,
in The Wesley Centre and on this website for news of our latest
adventures. |
2016 |
In 2016, we celebrated the 200th anniversary of the
opening of the first Methodist Chapel in Almondbury
on the present site in Westgate. A second chapel stood
at the corner of Westgate and Longcroft for many years
but the churches amalgamated in 1960 and a new church
was opened in 1968. A series of special services and
events were held to celebrate this 200th Anniversary.
