How to find Almondbury Methodist Church & The Wesley Centre
From Huddersfield:
1> - Take the A629 Wakefield Road from Shorehead roundabout, signed
to Wakefield & Sheffield. You will pass Sainsburys on your left.
Immediately get into the right-hand lane which is marked for Almondbury.
2> - Keeping in the right hand lane, go through the traffic lights
and the road will bear right (note - Lidl Supermarket should now
be on your left).
3> - Continue straight on at the mini-roundabout
and follow this road up the hill into Almondbury village. As you
pass through the village (remember the 20mph zone), continue to
follow the main road which bears right round the Parish Church.
You will pass The Woolpack pub and then The Radcliffe Arms pub on
your left. Almondbury Methodist Church is a little further up the
road on your right. The Wesley Centre is located at the back of
Almondbury Methodist Church.
4> - Please note that there is limited parking
- either at the side of The Wesley Centre, or along the road that
is Stocks Walk (behind The Wesley Centre), or on the main road that
is Westgate/Kaye Lane.
From Honley:
1> - From Honley village centre, follow the main
road Westgate which then changes to Eastgate.
2> - At the traffic lights go straight ahead, crossing over Woodhead Road.
3> - At the next set of traffic lights, go straight ahead, crossing Huddersfield Road and head straight on up Station Road.
4> - As you drive up Station Road, Honley High School should be on your left. Continue straight ahead up Northgate.
5> - Follow signs for Castle Hill and Almondbury,
by taking a left at the next junction.
6> - Follow Hey Lane, which changes into Ashes Lane. You should pass Castle Hill and Victoria Tower on your right. Ashes Lane then changes to Kaye Lane.
7> - Continue to follow Kaye Lane down into Almondbury
village. Remember the 20mph zone.
8> - Shortly after entering the 20mph zone, Almondbury
Methodist Church will be on your left.
9> - Please note that there is limited parking - either at the side of The Wesley Centre,
or along the road that is Stocks Walk, or on the main road that is Westgate/Kaye Lane.
