Nativity Festival at Almondbury Methodist Church
Community Nativity Festival, December 2013

Following our successful Water Weekend back in June, we recently held another community wide event in our journey towards Christmas. We had invited a number of local organisations through Almondbury to create a display in Church as part of our Nativity Festival. The response had been excellent and we had over 18 displays including our local schools, uniformed groups and some shops in the village. From previous events we had seen some fantastic displays imaginatively created by each of the groups and this event was no exception.

The nativity displays were available to view for a limited time only during Advent and many visitors took time to come along and view these exhibits. We were again amazed by each of the community group's creativity and imagination.

From a number of events we have held over this last year, including this Nativity Festival and Christmas Coffee morning, we have been able to make more progress with our Methodist Relief Development Fund initiative to provide safe water facilities in Uganda. We are truly grateful for all the support our local community groups and visitors have shown in their creativity and donations.

If you were unable to attend the Nativity Festival for any reason, don't worry we will display photographs of the displays on this webpage in due course (these photographs will be coming soon).

If you are interested in the other services and events at Almondbury Methodist Church during this Advent and Christmas please look at our Coming Soon page.

Whatever your plans over the coming weeks, Almondbury Methodist Church wish you peace, hope and joy this Christmas.
